Vietnam Cycle 2010/11
Irwin M&E Limited founder John Irwin certainly lived up to his philanthropic nature by recently competing in a grueling 750 KM cycle across the mountains of Vietnam.
The charity cycle was in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke Association, which involved a group of 26 participants each cycling for their own charity.
The cycle started in Hanoi and over the course of 8 days, starting at 7.30am and cycling to 4.30pm, the riders experienced aching limbs, saddling sores, bursting lungs, challenging weather conditions from hot at the bottom of the mountains to cold, wet and muddy at the top of the mountains.
None the less, the spectacular views, endless gorges, amazing landscapes, infectious laughter, ongoing encouragement and personal stories of the reasons why these tremendous group of people were cycling for their chosen charity made the pain and 750KM uphill cycle of Vietnam all worthwhile.
Finishing in Supa on the 8th day, John Irwin is pleased to announce that a grand total of £5335.00 was raised for Chest, Heart and Stroke and on behalf of John, Irwin M&E Limited would like to thank all of those who contributed to helping raise this fantastic amount.
