‘Stemming’ from 5G at the University of Surrey

We are delighted to have been awarded the complete Electrical works on the new STEM Building at the University of Surrey, Guildford, in partnership with Gilbert Ash.

This new project will see the expansion of the University’s’ Faculties of Engineering and Physical Sciences building on their Stag Hill Campus in Guildford. The Construction of new three storey academic building (STEM building) will accommodate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (flexible laboratory/formal teaching space, open plan social learning environment, offices and seminar rooms) with cycle parking, landscaping and ancillary works.

This project follows on from the successful completion of our award winning 5G Innovation Centre project in March 2015.

Richard Megarity, Irwin M&E Limiteds’ Operations Director commented,

“We have continued to strengthen our relationship with Gilbert Ash, securing a number of prestigious projects throughout central London and mainland UK; with the addition of the Stem Building following on from our successful completion of our award winning 5G Innovation Centre at the University of Surrey. We look forward to working on this project and many more in the future”

The project will commence in late 2015 and will be completed in 2016.
