Environment
Environmental sustainability is one of the core areas of advice that we offer to our clients, so what better way to demonstrate our commitment than to lead by example?
Irwin M&E has an ISO 14001 accredited Environmental Management System in place, and this is fundamental to how we operate our business. It also defines and sets the standard for the advice that we offer to our clients on making their buildings and operations as energy efficient and economical as possible, ensuring they are using products, services and technologies that are resource efficient.
We are committed to recycling as much waste as possible from our projects and have attained a level of 95% waste recycling.
Local Communities
We are committed to making a positive impact in the local communities where we work.
We are keen to promote local sport at youth and grass roots levels, with a particular focus on diversity and women in sport. We have long standing relationships with established sports and community groups in our local area.
We support a range of local, provincial and national sports and hobby groups which include football, rugby, Gaelic sports, golf, hockey, cycling and dance.
We regularly organise and support charity fundraising events locally.
Workforce Development
Our success to date is thanks to the hard work and commitment of our employees.
We are committed to investing in our employees in return, and are an accredited Investors in People company. Ongoing training and personal development are at the core of this ethos.
We have personalised training plans in place for all employees and provide funding for them to attend courses to further their education and training. We currently have 2 directors who joined them team as apprentices and developed through the company.
We also run an internal training programme for managers called Irwin EDGE. This programme includes areas for specific development to Educate, Develop, Grow and Excel, We offer benefits for length of service which include additional holiday entitlement.
Employee Wellbeing
We provide a wide range of health and wellbeing services which all employees can avail of.
We provide a free health cash plan which allows our team to claim back medical treatment and avail of perks.
We support and educate employees, and run initiatives for health and wellbeing including stress awareness month, national walking month, mental health awareness week, men’s health week etc.
We have fully trained IOSH Mental Health First Aiders to provide confidential support across our workforce
