Job Description

The role of the Electrical NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor will be pivotal to Irwin M&E’s ongoing growth and success in procuring a long term contract and the job role will include:

  • A full-time post, working 39 hours per week
  • Working within a team of NICEIC Qualifying Supervisors
  • Ensuring compliance within NICEIC guidelines & BS7671
  • Overseeing a team of Electrical Testing Engineers
  • Auditing all certificates including but not limited to Electrical Installation Test Certificates, Electrical Installation Condition Reports, Emergency Lighting Certificates
  • Providing guidance on identifying deviations from IEE Wiring Regulations to Electrical Testing Engineers and clients
  • Assisting with estimates for remedial works arising from EICR Testing Reports
  • Liaise with clients and attend client meetings
  • Carrying out work according to Irwin M&E policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all relevant working practices comply with the statutory Health & Safety (NI) Order
  • Company transport and mobile telephone is included

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Time served as an Electrician
  • Experience of EICR (EICR) Testing
  • C&G Level 3 NVQ in Electro Technical Services or equivalent
  • C&G Inspection & Testing 2394/5 or 2391 or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of good practice & workmanship
  • IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
  • Ability to lone work and be self-motivated
  • Competent to lead a team of skilled engineers
  • Good H&S knowledge
  • Driving Licence

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a Qualifying Supervisor role or reviewing NICEIC certificates
  • Ability to evaluate testing procedures and suggest improvements
  • Previous experience of leading a team
