Job Description

The role of General Labourer will be central to supporting ongoing construction and maintenance projects across multiple sites. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of building, bricklaying, and site operations while helping maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general labouring duties including site preparation, clearance, and maintenance
  • Completing bricklaying, blockwork, and basic masonry tasks
  • Undertaking general construction and building maintenance work
  • Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment safely
  • Operating effectively within site teams to ensure projects progress efficiently
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
  • Identifying and resolving minor site issues using initiative and practical problem-solving skills

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in construction, labouring, or bricklaying
  • Good understanding of building practices and site safety procedures
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to work

Desirable Criteria

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Valid CSCS/CSR Card
  • Experience in bricklaying or blockwork
  • Relevant construction or trade certifications
