Job Description
The Marketing Executive will be based in our Belfast office (Mallusk), with occasional travel to our head office in Portadown.
This is a new role within our dynamic, energetic and friendly Bid and Marketing Team, and will be pivotal to Irwin M&E’s ongoing growth and success.
The job role will include:
- Supporting the delivery of the overall Marketing Strategy
- Market research and development of new markets to aid company growth strategy, e.g., Energy and Renewables, etc.
- Supporting internal and external communication, ensuring consistency in line with brand guidelines
- Graphic design and content creation for internal and external use
- Updating and maintaining company website and social media channels
- Monitoring of analytics across company website and social media channels to identify trends and ensure continuous improvement
- Working with third parties as required, e.g. web developers, photographers, etc.
- Design and development of marketing material, e.g. brochures, branded promotional items, etc.
- Maintaining and updating project/case study database, including site attendance to collate imagery/videography
- Organising and attending events and trade shows, e.g. Balmoral Show
- Working with the Commercial and Bid Teams to maximise lead generation
Essential Criteria
- Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline
- Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms, including strong photography and video skills
- Experience supporting content planning, campaign coordination and social media scheduling using Meta Business Suite, Linkedin amongst others.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of honesty, reliability and accountability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn and develop new skills
- Full driving licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, or equivalent software
Desirable Criteria
Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous for the candidate to have:
- Previous experience within the construction/mechanical/electrical industry
- Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with Canva or similar software
- Experience in managing and updating WordPress websites
