Job Description

The Marketing Executive will be based in our Belfast office (Mallusk), with occasional travel to our head office in Portadown.

This is a new role within our dynamic, energetic and friendly Bid and Marketing Team, and will be pivotal to Irwin M&E’s ongoing growth and success.

The job role will include:

• Supporting the delivery of the overall Marketing Strategy
• Market research and development of new markets to aid company growth strategy, e.g., Energy and Renewables, etc.
• Supporting internal and external communication, ensuring consistency in line with brand guidelines
• Graphic design and content creation for internal and external use
• Updating and maintaining company website and social media channels
• Monitoring of analytics across company website and social media channels to identify trends and ensure continuous improvement
• Working with third parties as required, e.g. web developers, photographers, etc.
• Design and development of marketing material, e.g. brochures, branded promotional items, etc.
• Maintaining and updating project/case study database, including site attendance to collate imagery/videography
• Organising and attending events and trade shows, e.g. Balmoral Show
• Working with the Commercial and Bid Teams to maximise lead generation

Essential Criteria

• Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline
• Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms, including strong photography and video skills
• Experience supporting content planning, campaign coordination and social media scheduling using Meta Business Suite, Linkedin amongst others.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills with a high level of honesty, reliability and accountability
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn and develop new skills
• Full driving licence
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, or equivalent software

Desirable Criteria

Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous for the candidate to have:

• Previous experience within the construction/mechanical/electrical industry
• Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience with Canva or similar software
• Experience in managing and updating WordPress websites
