We’re proud to have won Employer of the Year  at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in the 150+ employees category.

The Awards took place at the Crowne Plaza Belfast, bringing together leading organisations from across Northern Ireland.

For us, this recognition reflects the people behind Irwin M&E and the culture we’ve worked hard to build.

Over the past few years, we’ve grown our team across Northern Ireland to more than 300 people. At the same time, we’ve continued to invest in training, development and apprenticeships.

Our apprenticeship programme remains a key part of how we build for the future. It allows us to bring new talent into the industry while developing skills across our existing workforce.

We focus on long-term development, giving our people the tools and opportunities they need to progress within the business.

Building a Culture Where People Can Thrive

Creating the right environment for our team remains a priority.

We’ve increased female representation in management roles and continue to improve diversity across the business. We’ve also strengthened our approach to wellbeing, with over 20 trained Mental Health First Aiders supporting our teams every day.

These steps form part of our wider commitment to building a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and able to perform at their best.

Recognised on the Night

Laura White, Senior HR Manager, and Richard Megarity, Operations Director, collected the award on the night. John McEvoy, CEO of category sponsor Duality Healthcare, presented the award.
