Project Award | Leeds Bradford Airport, Phase 1

Project Award | Leeds Bradford Airport, Phase 1

We are excited to announce we have been appointed to carry out the full MEP package for the extension of the X25 Terminal Building at Leeds Bradford Airport by Principal Contractor Farrans Construction.

The regeneration will see a 9,500 sqm, 3-storey extension to the existing terminal. On completion of Phase 1, passengers will benefit from the creation of additional new shops, a larger baggage reclaim area and immigration hall, as well as improved access for passengers with restricted mobility.

The project is the first stage in what will help Leeds Bradford Airport to further decarbonise its operations, as outlined in the airport’s 2030 Net Zero Carbon Roadmap ♻

By 2030, the overall scheme is anticipated to create 1,500 new direct jobs at Leeds Bradford Airport and 4,000 new indirect jobs. It is also expected to contribute a total of £940m to the local economy!

The design and pre-construction stage of the project are well advanced and on-site enabling works have been completed. Full MEP works are due to commence on site later this year.
