This project was for the electrical works as part of the complete refurbishment of the prestigious Mount Stewart House.
Mount Stewart House is a Grade A Listed 18th century National Trust property. The works aimed to restore the elegance and charm of the house back to when it was the home of the 7th Marchioness Edith, Lady Londonderry and her family in the early 20th century.
To ensure full compliance with the National Trust’s requirements and planning approval specifications in line with the building regulations and listed building consent, we had strict procedures in place to ensure that we preserved all existing interior decorations, fixtures and fittings.
The large chandelier in the main hall of is a notable feature of the interior. A winch was installed into the existing roof space, to enable the chandelier to be lowered for ease of maintenance.
