Irwin M&E were main contractor for the extensive refurbishment works throughout Coleraine Grammar School, with responsibility for all mechanical, electrical and builders works.
The school was transitioning from all-boys to mixed sex so required extensive refurbishment works, including the creation of toilet facilities for female students.
The works took place throughout a wide range of departmental teaching facilities, classrooms, multi-purpose assembly hall/gymnasium, sports hall, office/support areas, learning resource centre, storage areas, PE facilities, workshops, meals accommodation and main entrance/lobby.
The school remained occupied over the 8-month construction period with works phased to suit the requirements of the school particularly in relation to exam timetables during the contract period.
