Design and build MEP project for a new 378-bed ground plus eight story student accommodation at St. Thomas Street.
As well as living accommodation, the building includes a management suite, reception, gym, laundry room and a number of general communal and amenity spaces, providing a brilliant facility for students to live in while attending university.
Heating to the residential part of the building was provided by LTHW radiators with the heat source being derived from the local Bristol City Council district heating network, negating the need for any fuel burning boiler plant on site. In addition to this and to further help achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating, a 26kW photovoltaic array was installed on the roof of the building. Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery was installed within all the residential kitchen areas.
